Care Ministry

We're Here for You

Care takes many different forms and looks different for everyone. At FUMCTC we believe caring for one another in Christian love is foundational to living out our faith.

Between our Pastoral Staff and our Congregational Care Team, there are a myriad of ways you can receive care.

If you would like to speak to someone, please call the main church number: 972-625-1281.

If you would prefer to reach out via email, fill out the contact form below and a Pastor or Care Team Member will get in touch with you soon.

If you or someone you know if going through a tough time or maybe even has something worth praising happening in their life, we'd love to pray for it. To submit a prayer request, just fill out the form at the bottom of this webpage and a member of the Care Team or a Pastor will be in touch with you ASAP.

To Share the Load, our Congregational Care Team Leads offers care to people in their alphabetical group (by last name). If you would like to to be in contact with your Care Team Lead, please contact them at the number below:

Is caring for other people one of your Spiritual Gifts? Or perhaps is it a gift you've always wanted to explore and cultivate in your faith life? Check some of the ways you can get involved in caring for those in our congregation. Then contact our Chuch office and we'll get you in touch with one of our Congregational Care ministry teams.

At FUMCTC we believe in the power of prayer. But we also believe that a robust prayer life leads to a robust faith life. Therefore, our Care and Prayer Teams are anything but passive. Below you can find details about the various Care Teams operating in our congregation.  We hope you'll notice that when a name makes it on our prayer list -- be it a joy or a concern -- we strive to surround that person with the love of God revealed in Jesus through prayers, presence, food, cards, phone calls, and so much more.

Explore our Care Teams

  • Congregational Care Team

Our Team Leaders are the first point of contact for those seeking prayer and care. When someone submits a prayer request (or asks for prayer) our Care Team Members will follow up with those persons asking how the care team (or other prayer teams) can offer follower up care.

  • Homebound Communion

Members of the Communion Team take communion elements on Communion Sunday (the first Sunday of every month) or that Monday to those unable to attend worship. Obligation is once a month.

  • Catch a Ride

Members of this Team help give people rides to-from appointments. Obligation is on an as-needed basis.

  • Funeral Team

Members of the Funeral Team provide ongoing support for memorials and/or funerals for church members. This may include helping organize refreshments, setting-up/tearing-down before/after a service. Obligation is on an as needed basis.
