Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir is a mixed adult choral ensemble that provides music regularly for the 11:00 AM services and once a month for the 8:30 AM services. Covering a wide spectrum of challenging musical repertoire, their selections include contemporary choral music settings, traditional hymn favorites, gospel music and choral pieces with an ethnic flavor. This ensemble accompanied by instrumentalists and actors and narrators also leads the congregation in worship for special services during the church year, and presents inspirational cantatas during Holy Week and Christmas seasons.

Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings 7:00 – 8:30 PM.

Vocal Ensembles/Solos

Smaller vocal ensembles occasionally perform at the 8:30 and 11:00 AM services. Groups and individuals are encouraged to share their talents in traditional and contemporary mixed choral, quartet, and soloist selections.

Sanctuary Ringers

The Sanctuary Ringers is an eleven-member adult handbell ensemble that provides music monthly for the 8:30 and 11:00 AM services. Their repertoire consists of intermediate and advanced handbell selections for three-octave Malmark handbells and choir chimes including hymn settings and medleys, original contemporary handbell music, rhythmic African American Spirituals and more.

Rehearsals are Sunday afternoons from 1:00 – 2:15 PM.

Instrumental Ensembles/Solos

Instrumentalists of a wide range of ages and capabilities are welcome to perform solos or play in ensemble during the worship service and for other events at the church. Both amateur and professional instrumentalists accompany the Chancel Choir in anthems or special presentations. Please contact us if you are interested in offering your time and talent to this special ministry.

The Choristers is a music ensemble for students in grades 3 – 8. Singing develops many skills including self-confidence, critical listening, teamwork, breath control, artistic expression, and a strong foundation of music fundamentals which can be applied to any instrument.  Most importantly, Choristers will learn and develop personal connections to the songs that express the heart of our faith.

This group meets every Wednesday night from 6:00pm – 6:45pm in the choir room (C7). (Holiday or other exceptions will be noted on the church calendar)

We will share our musical gifts with the congregation as often as possible.
