Help Is Here
First United Methodist Church, The Colony provides assistance to those in need through ministries and special programs.
Our Food Pantry is open the 1st & 3rd Thursday of each month from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and provides staple items such as pasta, rice, and canned foods.
The Crisis Fund is available for financial emergencies. We can provide limited assistance for those having trouble paying utilities or other critical personal items. Please contact us to speak to our staff about the criteria and availability of funds.
Professional counseling services with a licensed counselor are available at the church. Learn more about available services at Pastoral Counseling Center of Dallas or contact 214-526-4525 to schedule an appointment.
We would love to partner with you in prayer. If you have a joy or concern that you would like to have us pray about, please submit a Prayer Request, or fill out a Prayer Request card when you are at the church. If you would like to pray for those who submit prayer requests, contact us.
Homebound, Hospital and Nursing Home Visits
No one relishes hospital stays, periods of rehabilitation, or extended care. Anxiety often accompanies hospitalizations, and extended care can cause isolation from family, friends, and the church community. Our pastor and caring volunteers seek to lift these burdens by visiting and praying with persons. To request a visit for yourself or a loved one, contact us or fill out the Prayer Request with a note for visitation.
New Hope Learning Center
New Hope Learning Center provides subsidized childcare for working parents. Spots are VERY limited. Please visit the New Hope Learning Center page to learn more about this program.
